Meet Rusty

Rusty the Cavapoo is wagging his way up the corporate ladder at Avalo. He joined the company as Mascot in 2022 and, given his impressive in-office accomplishments, his recent promotion to Chief Canine Officer is well deserved.

Rusty’s expertise lies in strategic lap-jumping, FedEx detection, and morale boosting (with a slight side effect of productivity dips). Born in State College, PA, Rusty now resides in Haverford, where he continues his lifelong project of training his adopted humans. Rusty’s abilities to spread joy and reduce stress through tail wags and nose boops is unmatched in the industry.

Hobbies include meeting and greeting other dogs and humans, performing tricks for treats, and engaging in high-speed pursuit of bouncy balls.

Director/Senior Director, Device Development

The Director/Senior Director, Device Development will play a key role within our CMC team and serve as a senior technical subject matter expert and advisor for Avalo’s combination products programs with a focus on prefilled syringes and autoinjectors to support biologics. This role’s scope and accountability will encompass the entire lifecycle from early development through lifecycle management, providing critical technical strategic oversight and guidance in the implementation and commercialization of combination products.

VP, Head of Biometrics

The VP, Head of Biometrics will oversee biostatistics, data management, and statistical programming to ensure high-quality data strategy, analysis, and interpretation across the company’s research and development programs. This individual will collaborate closely with the internal study team and CROs to ensure the integrity, quality, and impact of statistical deliverables supporting clinical development decisions and regulatory submissions. They will be responsible for establishing and executing statistical strategies and analysis planning to support Phase 2 and subsequent clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and scientific publications.
